July 4th Holiday Cargo Theft Trends

There were 179 theft events reported in the analysis period, July 1st and 2nd consistently show the highest rates of theft, likely due to loaded conveyances left unattended before the holiday.

Memorial Day Weekend Cargo Theft Trends

There were 146 events reported with an average of 29 events per year. The stolen cargo in each event was worth an average of $264,016.

Winter Holiday Cargo Theft Trends

In this analysis, there were 205 incidents reported to CargoNet and the average cargo theft was valued at $121,473.

Thanksgiving Cargo Theft Trends

There were 126 theft records recorded in the analysis period with an average of 25 per year.
