Leadership
As general manager, Chief of Police Anthony Canale (Ret.) has overall responsibility for the CargoNet business unit. Areas of responsibility include; accounts, marketing, personnel, operations and sales. Anthony has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement. Having began his career in 1979 as a Police Officer, Anthony worked his way up through the ranks holding the offices of Detective, Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief. Prior to joining CargoNet, Anthony served as Chief of the Medford Township, NJ Police Department. During his 21 year tenure at MTPD, Anthony also worked closely with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as a member of various organized crime and narcotics taskforces. Anthony has been honored by many organizations, most notably; U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Treasury, U.S. Secret Service, and the South Jersey Fraternal Order of Police. Anthony earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University and graduated in the 195th Class for the F.B.I. National Academy.
As vice president of operations, Keith Lewis is responsible for managing CargoNet’s operational efforts which include the supervision of the CargoNet operations center staff, investigative support and system training for CargoNet members Keith has over 20 years of experience in the 3rd party logistics industry. Having began his career in 1979 as a clerk in the transportation division of one of the country’s largest 3PLs, Keith worked his way up through the company where he eventually held the role of operations manager overseeing the company’s trucking division as well as a 1.1 million square-foot distribution center. Keith also held high profile roles at two other major 3PLs. In 2000, Keith left the logistics industry to pursue a career in law enforcement, where he held the ranks of Officer and Detective before working as a Task Force Agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
As vice president of business development, Salvatore Marino fosters and manages strategic relationships with a focus in the supply-chain arena. Sal has 15 years of experience in industry sectors such as medical, multimedia, entertainment, pharmaceutical, transportation, and various vertical markets in supply chain. His prior leadership roles focused on managing client relations, corporate sales training, program management of best practices, and corporate compliance for many Fortune 500 companies.
As vice president of insurance services, Garry Rivell is in charge of developing and managing tactical relationships within the insurance area. Garry is a veteran of the property/casualty insurance industry with over 35 years of experience and leadership in sales with national carriers. In addition, he has served on the boards of the IL Fair Plan, CAIP and NCCI; and was a guest speaker at an IASA convention. Garry received his degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has earned the designation Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
As vice president of marketing at CargoNet, Richard Kirk is responsible for the perception and positioning of the CargoNet brand, and driving business growth through identification of market trends, opportunities, and customer needs. Richard has almost a decade of marketing and product management experience in the loss prevention industry. Prior to joining CargoNet, he worked with companies on a global level to develop cargo security solutions, manage international relationships, and explore technology to address the needs of large businesses as well as developed and emerging markets. Richard received his degrees in international business and business marketing from Roger Williams University.
As senior supply chain analyst at CargoNet, Yulin Huang provides qualitative and quantitative expertise to predict, understand, and enhance the supply chain process for CargoNet members. Prior to joining CargoNet in 2009, Yulin spent 5 years in the media intelligence field in China. Yulin received his BA in English from Dalian University of Technology, MS in Management Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA with specializations in supply chain management and finance from Rutgers University.
